Exposure to sunAvoid direct sunlight. Prefers bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. If grown outdoors, ensure the plant is kept in a semi-shaded area, protected from harsh, direct sunlight during peak hours, as it can scorch the delicate leaves.
Light The Indian Pennywort thrives in bright, indirect sunlight, which ensures its leaves remain vibrant and healthy. Place it near a window where it can receive filtered sunlight for 4–6 hours daily. While it can survive in partial shade or low-light indoor environments, prolonged periods without adequate light may cause the leaves to lose their lush green color and result in slower growth or wilting. For indoor settings without natural light, the plant can adapt to fluorescent grow lights. Position the lights about 12–18 inches above the plant and keep them on for 12–16 hours a day to simulate natural conditions.
SoilA mix of loamy soil and compost is ideal for its growth. Can be grown directly on natural soil base on land or in pots.
WateringThoroughly water the plant every day. It stays well even in water-logged conditions. It does not have a material fertigation requirement. However, six-monthly feed will help maintain a good growth of the plant.
